Why should we recycle waste electrical goods?
Electrical waste is the fastest growing waste stream in the UK, increasing by around 5% a year. A staggering 75% of waste electrical goods end up in landfill, where various toxins contained in these products can cause water and soil contamination. Many of these items that are thrown away can actually be recycled.
Where the goods should be disposed of?
Old electrical and electronic goods wherever possible should not be disposed of with normal household waste.
